COURSE OBJECTIVE
This programme is designed to give clinicians and trainees a solid, confident foundation in obstetric and gynecological ultrasound — one that translates directly into better patient care. Over 12 structured lectures delivered live online, participants will build practical scanning skills, develop systematic reporting habits, and gain a clear understanding of the clinical reasoning behind every finding. All content is aligned with RCOG, ISUOG, MUSA, IDEA, IETA, and IOTA guidelines, ensuring that what you learn is current, reproducible, and internationally recognised. |
By the end of this course, you will be able to:
01 |
Scan with Confidence Perform a complete, structured pelvic ultrasound examination and produce clear, systematic reports aligned with international standards. |
02 |
Diagnose Early Pregnancy Complications Recognise and differentiate normal early pregnancy from ectopic pregnancy, miscarriage, heterotopic pregnancy, and pregnancy of unknown location (PUL). |
03 |
Master Fetal Screening Conduct first and second trimester screening examinations — including NT measurement, anatomical survey, and common anomaly recognition. |
04 |
Assess Fetal Growth & Wellbeing Apply evidence-based Doppler protocols for IUGR diagnosis, surveillance, and management decision-making. |
05 |
Evaluate Placental & Multiple Pregnancy Identify placenta previa, placenta accreta spectrum, and chorionicity/amnionicity in multiple pregnancies with structured follow-up plans. |
06 |
Apply Gynecological Ultrasound Assess the normal and abnormal female pelvis — including endometrial, myometrial, and adnexal pathology — for everyday gynaecological practice. |
07 |
Understand Emerging Technology Critically appraise the role of artificial intelligence in ultrasound imaging and understand how it integrates into modern clinical workflows. |
